Roots & Seeds

Today I recognize interlopers in my yard.  Privet eight inches high stands in the remains of last fall's mums as ivy crawls in an azalea.  I love nature.  I feel mixed.  I think of those who will judge me for pulling these two plants but I really don't want privet nor ivy in my yard due to their invasiveness.

I kindly ask their deva's to relocate to the mums and azaleas then say "I'm sorry" and bless them as I pull each.

As I lay them to rest they gift me with an epiphany.  Roots and seeds, lines and orbs of energy, transport new life in dark earth.  In dark times, light is sensed and seen by those with courage, who don't fear the dark, who know they are like roots and seeds.
